Coachmen RV, Xantrex partnership advances motorhome power system

BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA – Coachmen RV, a division of Forest River Inc., is now offering the  Xantrex Freedome e-GEN-Li3 Lithium Ion Power System as an option on its Galleria Class B motorhomes. Built on the award-winning 3500 Mercedes Sprinter extended platform featuring the cleanest running turbo-diesel ‘Blue Tec’ engine, this innovative power system gives customers the option to power their Galleria Class B without the need of a generator or having to be tied into shore power.

“The new system offers our customers a smart, safe and affordable lithium ion power system that isn’t found in the Class B industry today. We had our first true retail introduction at the Pomona Show and the FREEDOM e-GEN-Li3 option was a game changer for us,” said Nick Recchio, general  manager of the Galleria and Cross Fit Division of Coachmen.

“Our system offers the longest run-time, fastest battery recharge time, safest battery chemistry, smartest battery management and the most advanced inverter/charger system. I am confident Coachmen’s Class B customers will see the benefits of this system in the very first trip,” said Steve Carlson, OEM sales manager for Xantrex.

“We had other options but chose the Xantrex system because of its outstanding performance. A buyer requesting this type of upgrade would want the best, so the Xantrex team and their system was the obvious choice,” added Recchio.

The Xantrex Freedom e-GEN-Li3 is a fully integrated system that offers reliable AC and DC power to run an air conditioner and other high-power loads in all climate conditions and precise battery management for accurately charging lithium ion batteries from multiple sources. The most compelling benefit the system offers to RVers is the freedom and confidence to camp wherever they want.

The Galleria with the Xantrex system will be on display at the Coachmen/Forest River booth 1001 at the National RV Tradeshow.
