VOORHEES, N.J. — Dorothy M. “Dot” Stone died Sept. 4 at 88 years of age, her family announced today. She and her husband, Harry, founded Stone’s Camping World of Berlin, N.J. She died following a fall at home Sept. 4.
The business was New Jersey’s first RV dealership when it was founded in 1960, and was a founding member of the New Jersey RV Dealers Association. Today, Stone’s is operated by second generation family member Kevin Stone and his wife, Yvonne.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Harry, and her children Linda Pickul and Kevin Stone (Yvonne).
She is also survived by her sister, Marion Brown; in-laws Edward Stone, Jerry Stone and Nancy Stone; and grandchildren Jennifer Barnett (Brian), Alicia Pickul, Michael Panek (Chrissy), Megan Stone, Derek Stone (Kara).
She was predeceased by her daughter Dorothy Panek (David), four siblings and a grandchild, Allison Panek. She had seven great grandchildren.
According to her obituary, her greatest love besides her husband was her family, many friends, and traveling.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing today from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Heritage Baptist Church, 530 Union Mill Road in Mt. Laurel, N.J. The funeral service begins at 11:30 a.m. today at the church. Interment takes place at Berlin Cemetery.
