Camping World opens three new supercenters

CHICAGO — Camping World and Good Sam announced the grand opening of several new stores, including a supercenter in London, Ohio; Richmond, Ind.; and Fairfield, Ohio, from July 30 – Aug. 8.

The locations will offer a wide array of RV sales, service, parts and accessories for the outdoor enthusiast and joins a dealer network that spans more than 100 U.S. locations with nearby supercenters in Akron, Ohio; Rossford, Ohio; Fairfield, Ohio; and Richmond, Ind.

Camping World of Columbus is located at 1305 US Highway 42 NE in London, Ohio. The facility includes a Camping World retail store on-site, which features more than 10,000 RV and camping products and accessories.

“We are very excited about our SuperCenter opening in the Columbus area and are eager to begin serving our new customers,” said Marcus Lemonis, CEO and chairman of Camping World and Good Sam. “We have completed the transition of the three Tom Raper RV dealerships to full-service Camping World RV SuperCenters, and we look forward to offering customers a one-stop location to serve all their outdoor and RV needs. We are confident they will feel welcome and at home with us.”

The grand opening celebration, which is free and open to the public, will begin on July 30 and run through Aug. 8, featuring price specials, door prizes and a ribbon cutting ceremony on July 31 at 9 a.m. attended by the local Chamber of Commerce along with city representatives from Madison County. Lemonis will also be onsite at 10 a.m. July 31 to meet and greet local customers, and in addition, free lunch will be offered on Saturdays during the grand opening event on Aug. 1 and Aug. 8 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Camping World of Richmond is located at 2250 Williamsburg Pike in the heart of Richmond, Ind., which showcases many historic districts, museums, and several RV parks and campgrounds. The facility includes a Camping World retail store on-site, which features more than 10,000 RV and camping products and accessories.

“It’s an exciting time for us as we launch our second SuperCenter in the state of Indiana, given the rich history and tourism appeal of the Richmond community,” said Lemonis.

The grand opening celebration, which is free and open to the public, will feature price specials, door prizes and a ribbon cutting ceremony July 31 at 11 a.m., attended by members of the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce. 1. Rv daily report is becoming rv camping world report. 90% of your readers are rv dealers and could care less about reading over and over about camping world seriously. Greg use to be against camping world but I guess money talks.

    • Give me a break, Shawn. Camping World is the largest dealership group serving the RV industry. There is tremendous interest in what that behemoth is up to, and dealers who ignore the firm do so at their peril. Because Camping World controls $2 billion of this industry, we will continue to publish whatever news we find about the company. We have stopped publishing all the silly promotional items regarding Marcus Lemonis “The Profit” because they have no bearing on the industry. It’s funny that another comment to another story just bashed me for being too hard on Camping World, and you’re criticizing us for publishing the company’s press releases and the third-party news stories we find. Ahhh, the life of an editor.

My records show we have posted exactly 20 stories mentioning Camping World since Jan. 6 of this year. When measured against the 4,352 stories we have published in all of RV Daily Report, that means our Camping World coverage accounts for 0.0045 percent of our total publication. Money talks?? Do you see any advertising from Camping World on this website or in our daily newsletters? Just where do you think I might be getting Camping World money? Their CEO has a hit out for me.
