Camping World buys vacant site in Boynton Beach

Camping World buys vacant site in Boynton Beach

 

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. — Gander Mountain is gone. Bass Pro Shops never arrived. But perhaps Camping World is in Palm Beach County’s retail future, reported Palm Beach Post.

Camping World paid $8.25 million for the long-empty Home Depot Expo Center property at 1520 SW 8th St. in Boynton Beach, according to a deed. The 87,792-square-foot space was built in 1998, according to property records.

The space once was home to a Home Depot Expo Design Center, but Home Depot pulled the plug on that concept in 2009. The building has been mostly empty since.
