California RV Show returns to Pomona Oct. 6

POMONA, Calif. – When visitors walk through row upon row of the latest makes and models of RVs from more than 40 manufacturers at the upcoming 2017 California RV Show at Fairplex Pomona, which begins Oct. 6, they’ll also be witnessing one of the nation’s best business comeback stories.

The show’s producer, the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA), says its August survey of manufacturers found RV wholesale shipments finished at 45,031 units, an increase of 25.3 percent over the 35,946 units shipped last August. August 2017 shipments are the best August on comparable record.

Little wonder that the 65th anniversary of the show will feature over 1,400 new (2018) RVs from more than 30 dealers covering over 1.3 million square feet of displays and a large exhibitor tent featuring various accessories and aftermarket products to personalize RVs. This is the only place to see all the new 2018 models from Class A, B, C and travel trailers, to 5th wheel trailers and toy haulers.

Here are a couple of show standouts: In true Airstream fashion, the compact, efficiently designed Basecamp blends sound structure, hard-working features, and a clean look together seamlessly from the classic aluminum aerodynamic outer shell to the smart and streamlined interior. Pair it with a special “Airstream” version electric bike from Pedego.

The new Winnebago Horizon brings a fresh look to the diesel pusher category with the performance to back it up. Each of the Horizon floor plans feature a refreshingly clean design, highlighted by LED tube lighting and luxurious furnishings.

Roadtrek’s new Zion is a versatile and luxurious coach that features an open concept floor plan so owners can pack outdoor adventure toys, from bikes to kayaks, in the spacious center aisle, and still have of the creature comforts expect from a quality RV.

“RVers from all over the West Coast mark this show on their calendar every year,” said Tom Gaither, California RVIA Show Director. “They know it’s the one place all year where they check out product on display from over 30 dealers and shop around to get the best deal on an RV.”

The show runs from Oct. 6 through 15, 2017 at the Fairplex in Pomona, Guest parking, enter Gate 17, shuttle buses will be provided to the show. Show hours are 10 am. to 6 p.m. daily. Adult admission is $15; kids 17 and under are free. Active military personnel are free with ID. RV Parking is available. Save $1 by purchasing tickets online at
