Baja Amigos Tours announces new wagon-masters
Kelly & Mike are enjoying La Bufadora

SURREY, British Columbia — Commencing immediately Baja Amigos RV Caravan Tours announced the addition of new Wagon-Masters, Mike & Kelly Steinfort, to the 2016/2017 Baja Snowbird season.

Mike and Kelly have extensive experience RVing on Baja Mexico and most recently circumnavigated the Mexican mainland this past winter camping in Veracruz, Campeche, Oaxaca, Merida, San Cristobal, Puebla, San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Copper Canyon and much more.

Co-Founder, Dan Goy, said “We are thrilled that Mike & Kelly have decided to join our Baja Amigos team. Their love for Mexico by air, sea and RV make them an excellent fit as they share our passion for Mexico.”

Kelly Steinfort said, “We toured with Baja Amigos in 2013 and have visited Baja every winter since. We were originally drawn to the prospect of a small caravan size, a well-planned itinerary and the on-tour excursions. Dan and Lisa’s tour exceeded our expectations and we’re looking forward to our new role as Baja Amigos Wagon-Masters.”

“Mike and Kelly represented Baja Amigos at the Mid-America RV Show in Kansas City, Mo., and have met many on our other tours over the years. They are wonderful with people and it shows. Their enthusiasm for Baja is infectious and we are confident they will deliver the 28 Day tour as we have planned it,” added Lisa, Baja Amigos co-owner.

“There is so much negative news about traveling in Mexico, never once have we ever felt nervous or at all threatened, Mexicans are all so very friendly. We really look forward to leading other RVers on Baja and assuming our role as Wagon-Masters for Baja Amigos RV Caravan Tours. We have seen most of Mexico up close and personal and Baja is definitely the best RV destination, particularly for first time Mexico campers,” remarked Mike Steinfort.

Mike, a fourth generation Kansan, was born and raised on a farm near Junction City. Kelly, an Army brat, grew up in a Military family living across the US and Germany. Mike worked as an auto mechanic until starting a 25-year career with the Junction City Fire Department, retiring in 2012 as fire chief. Kelly worked in banking for years but over the last 10 years has pursued a career in Real Estate as a co-owner of RE/Max Signature Properties in Junction City, Kan., ( Mike & Kelly have been married for 20 years plus and continue to raise beef cattle on their family farm.
