Arizona RV dealer employee honored as local hero

Tim AllgoodMESA, Ariz. — On Aug. 6, a bicycle rider was struck by a pickup truck as the truck was pulling out of Robert Crist and Company at the intersection of Gilbert Road and Main Street in Mesa, Ariz. 

After being struck, the victim was trapped and sandwiched between the asphalt and the truck with the bike wedged between his body and the truck bottom. 

Timothy Allgood, an employee for Robert Crist and Company, who was driving a forklift happened to witness the accident.  He drove the forklift to the scene and lifted the pickup off of the victim prior to the fire department’s arrival, possibly saving his life, Mesa Fire Chief Harry Beck noted in presenting a commendation to Allgood.
