American RVer tours converted school bus

BOX ELDER, S.D. – Brian Mills wasn’t happy with the cost of a factory manufactured Class A motorhome, so he started looking around to see what his options might be. During his search, he found a used school bus at a local auction.

He bought it and created a space perfect for his family, including a full-sized tiled shower and queen bed. He did this by gutting the bus, and starting fresh from floor to ceiling, adding walls, cabinetry, electronics and kitchen cabinets. Using his welding skills, Mills was able to build a holding tank for gray and black water. He also enlisted the help of friends to change the school bus yellow color.

Viewers can see how Mills did this by watching Jim and Peggy Grich’s tour of this school bus conversion on American RVer.
