Airstream parent buys Roadtrippers

Airstream parent buys Roadtrippers

JACKSON CENTER, Ohio — The parent company of RV maker Airstream is investing in Cincinnati startup Roadtrippers.

The digital road trip planning company has a deal to be acquired along with Roadtrippers Australasia by a newly formed joint venture involving Elkhart, Ind.-based recreational vehicle maker Thor Industries Inc.

Thor has teamed up with Tourism Holdings, to form a joint venture known as TH2 that will be headquartered in Cincinnati. Airstream’s top executive will become president of the new company.
