CROWLEY, Tex. — The online versions of AGS guest guides have generated over 3 million impressions during the past few years as growing numbers of campers access guest guides online.
“This is another major milestone for us as we continue to generate a huge following in cyberspace,” said Michael Moore, general manager of AGS, noting that campers are increasingly responding to the company’s “hyper digital” marketing program.
Campground guest guides are powerful marketing tools, both in print and online, Moore said, adding that AGS continues to be best known in the campground industry for its printed guest guides, which establish a unique identity for every park and promote brand loyalty. Content also informs guests of park policies, amenities and local attractions.
But AGS also offers an online presence for its guides through AccessCamping.com, which hosts the guides in a digital format using an Issuu program that parks can link to, thus increasing their online exposure in the marketplace.
AGS’s Issuu program has its own analytics, which enables AGS to keep of the online impressions of its guest guides.
“We think it’s important for parks to have both printed and online marketing materials,” Moore said, noting that the printed guides are needed to refer traffic to the website help consumers find the parks online and to become familiar with their websites.
Online guest guides are also essential as more and more guests use tablets or smart phones to access park information.
Online guest guides are a component of AGS’ hyper-digital campaign, launched less than two ago. The campaign also provides parks with responsive web design and digital services like blogging, SEO and e-newsletters, which ramp up park value and boost sales.
