Actress Jennie Garth to talk RVs at California RV Show

POMONA, Calif. – Actress, author, designer and RV blogger Jennie Garth, who skyrocketed to stardom with her role as Kelly Taylor on the TV hit series Beverly Hills 90210, will be presenting at the upcoming 65th edition of the annual California RV Show, beginning October 6 in Pomona, California.

A lifelong RVer who shares her current RV adventures on the Go RVing Blog “The Scenic Route,” Jennie will be talking about her RVing passion and the challenges of decorating an RV. See her on Oct. 6 at 1 pm to hear about her RV travels, and on Saturday, Oct. 7 at 10:30am to lean more about decorating an RV.

An avid designer, DIY-er and decorator, Jennie highlighted her experience in the HGTV series “The Jennie Garth Project,” which followed her as she personally designed and renovated her dated Hollywood Hills home. Other on-screen highlights include dozens of on-screen projects such as “A Little Bit Country’ for CMT; “What I Like About You” for WB; “Mystery Girls” with her 90210 alum Tori Spelling and a semi-finals run on “Dancing with the Stars.”

In 2007, she released her first memoir “Deep Thoughts From a Hollywood Blonde.”

“RVing has been a part of my life since I was a little girl,” says Garth. “My father loved his RV and as a child we took family trips all over the country. Those vacations are some of my fondest childhood memories: my dad at the wheel, my mom riding shotgun and my sisters and I generally raising hell in the back.”

She adds, “Years later as a wife and mother, I wanted my children to experience the same wonderful family bonding time that RVing could bring so we bought a 35-foot motorhome and the five of us hit the road on a regular basis. Living in this era of cell phones, email, social media and both parents managing busy careers, these trips were a time when, by design, mom and dad were focused on family fun and much of the outside world was kept outside of our little home away from home as we rolled down the highway.”

Garth will be available after the seminar for a meet and greet, as well she will give a tour inside her RV that she decorated.

The show runs from Oct. 6 through Oct. 15 at the Fairplex in Pomona, Gate 9. Show hours are 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. daily. Adult admission is $15; kids 17 and under are free. Active military personnel are free with ID. RV Guest parking is available at Gate 17. Shuttle buses will bring guests to the entrance of the show at Gate 9. Save $1 by purchasing tickets online at
