PROVO, Utah—With both the RV and auto aftermarket industries experiencing the best year in sales since the recession, Fastway Trailer Products prepared for continued growth by welcoming industry veteran, Matt Darrington, to their sales team.
“Matt Darrington is a great fit for our company,” said Rich Elliott, vice president of sales for Progress Mfg. Inc., maker of Fastway Trailer Products. “He has ten years of experience in the RV and automotive aftermarket, focusing on high-end aluminum ball mounts. He knows the products, people, and the marketplace well, and we are excited to have him and his expertise.”
Darrington will focus on introducing Fastway Flash Aluminum Ball Mounts to suppliers all over the country, along with the rest of the Fastway Trailer product line.
“Fastway Trailer Products offers some of the best trailer accessories in the industry,” Darrington said. “The accessories not only make hooking up your trailer faster and easier, but are innovative and high in quality. I am excited to be part of the Fastway Trailer team and look forward to helping Fastway’s distributors, retailers, and customers.”
And according to both the RVIA and Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association, it looks like Fastway’s timing in growing their sales team is spot on. RV wholesale shipments tracked by RVIA posted the best total for October in 38 years with 32,346 units shipped last month, and the 2014 Joint Channel Forecast Model for the AASA also predicts big growth, anticipating the total automotive aftermarket sales to increase $35 billion dollars from 2013 to 2017. Josh Binks, chief financial officer for Progress Mfg, Inc, weighed-in on the growth Fastway Trailer Products has seen.
“Our company has grown each of its departments significantly over the last two years. Our aim is to provide the best service to our customers and to continually improve our products and processes. We are confident that Matt will be a fantastic resource both internally and externally, providing even more strength to the Fastway team.”
