Nebraska may repeal law banning booze in state parks

(May 24, 2010) -- Under a proposal being considered, drinking would not be allowed between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. Alcohol consumption would also be banned on roadways or swimming and parking areas. Kegs or any container of alcohol exceeding one gallon would be prohibited, the station noted.

Shenandoah, Penn., bans on-street RV parking

(May 24, 2010) --- RVs cannot be parked on any street or alley in the borough, except for temporary loading and unloading. Nor can they be parked in front of a residence for more than 72 hours. Residents are also prohibited from leaving motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles, go-karts or similar vehicles on sidewalks, porches or easement areas open to the public.

Total of 15 states wage war against the emerald ash borer

(May 24, 2010) -- The emerald ash borer -- an invasive beetle -- is attacking ash trees in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and Wisconsin. To battle the problem, state officials are banning transportation of firewood and imposing other restrictions.
