Go RVing Coalition approves new television ads

(June 19, 2009) -- Utilizing cost-effective, new production techniques, Go RVing will maximize the value of its unused creative materials. The ads are expected to be a combination of existing footage and still photographs in the Go RVing archives animated with special effects. Canada’s inflation rate remains in positive territory

(June 18, 2009) -- Canada's headline inflation rate rose by 0.7 percent in May, a much steeper increase than the market forecast for a 0.4 percent rise. Incoming RVIA chairman touts promising future for RV industry

(June 18, 2009) -- In his remarks at the RV Industry Association’s Membership Meeting June 9, RVIA Chairman of the Board Jim Sheldon reviewed the turbulent year the RV industry and the association have faced, and pointed to signs that the nation’s economy may be beginning to recover, saying, “Whereas last year, we were about to unknowingly walk off an economic cliff; this year, we are beginning the resolute climb back to recovery with a far more clear picture of what we are dealing with.” Read More »

Canadian retail sales show signs of weakness in April.

(June 19, 2009) -- "Retail activity was disappointing in April, although the pick-up in the volume of manufacturing sales and wholesale trade still points to the first increase in overall economic output in nine months, albeit a modest one," said Desjardins. "The ups and downs in the data are consistent with another weak quarter, with our forecast calling for real GDP to contract at a 3.2 percent annualized pace, slower than the first quarter's sharp 5.4 percent drop but still showing that the economy remained in recession." Thieves break into Canadian RV parts store, steal guard dogs

(June 19, 2009) -- When the owners of a trailer and RV parts shop in Langley locked up for the night Wednesday, they left guard dogs Abner and Gypsy in charge. But when they returned to work Thursday, the chainlink fence surrounding E&H Hitch was cut and the dogs were gone, Langley RCMP said in a press release. Read More »
