South Dakota tweaks rule to discourage long-term camping

(May 31, 2010) -- The commission has closed a loophole in campsite use rules. Effective June 29, the existing 15-consecutive-day camping limit will now apply to a camping unit, such as a camper or tent, in addition to the person or group of people staying on the site at any state park, recreation area or lakeside use area, the Rapid City Journal reported.

California RV park hosts flag retirement ceremony

(May 31, 2010) -- The ceremony, which was planned by General Manager Bill Hollenshade, attracted more than 130 people.Hollenshade brought together members of the Tehama County Young Marines, Boy Scout Troop 154 and Marine Corps League Detachment 1140 for the proceedings, the Red Bluff Daily News reported.
