(Nov. 7, 2017) -- Visitation to the Wisconsin state park has increased by nearly 50 percent since 2010, going from 1.7 million annual visitors at the time to 2.6 million in 2016, according to estimates from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
BARABOO, Wis. — Devil’s Lake State Park is on pace to set record attendance totals this year.
Visitation to the Wisconsin state park has increased by nearly 50 percent since 2010, going from 1.7 million annual visitors at the time to 2.6 million in 2016, according to estimates from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. Steve Schmelzer, the park’s superintendent, said he expects the ascent to continue in 2017.
