SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Camping is trending and West Virginia’s state parks are ready for the 2015 camping season. “Our campsite reservation process is underway by mail, phone, walk-in and online,” said Sam England, chief of the State Parks and Recreation section of the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources. “Reservations may be made at state parks campgrounds between the Friday before Memorial Day until Labor Day.”
Campgrounds are managed at 29 West Virginia state park areas. Applications and information for each park with reservable sites are located at www.wvstateparks.com under the Lodging and Camping tab, “Campgrounds.” Many of those areas also feature lodges, cabins, cottages, swimming pools and other outdoor recreation options.
