Walking Dead Run scheduled for Nov. 17 in a Texas state park

CEDAR HILL, Texas —  Walking Dead Run is the newest Adventure Run hosted by Pitchfork Productions and sponsored by FUSION Fit Camp. The event will take place Nov. 17 at Cedar Hill State Park.

Walking Dead Run organizers said on the event website: “Our goal is to provide the necessary training in a fun, yet challenging run for the masses and the undead while unleashing controlled panic in an effort to prepare and potentially save a life should an apocalypse occur. This groovy untimed course is mapped out to ensure the participants will take on obstacles and unique terrain all while running from zombies during this thrill-seeking 5k run. This is the ultimate event for both athletes and zombie fans. You must run, duck, dive, dodge, zigzag, climb, jump and crawl in an effort to save your life should a zombie attack occur. Plus, we are complete zombie nerds and thought this is the perfect medium to get some exercise.”

“If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a zombie.”The event also will raise money for a Texas food bank.
