WA: Klahowya Campground closure set to allow for work

(Aug. 7, 2017) -- The Klahowya Campground near the south shore of the Sol Duc River is scheduled to close for work projects on Sept. 5 and be reopened in May.

OLYMPIC NATIONAL FOREST, Wash. — The Klahowya Campground near the south shore of the Sol Duc River is scheduled to close for work projects on Sept. 5 and be reopened in May.

Work already has begun to upgrade the campground. The Olympic National Forest has scheduled a series of projects, including drilling a new well to provide potable water to the campground, replacing the double vault toilet, replacing the roof on the flush restrooms and installing 3,560 feet of waterline.
