VA: Proposals submitted to offer camping at Explore Parks

(Jan. 8, 2018) -- A mix of campsites, cabins and yurts could begin popping up at Explore Park as early as this summer under a pair of proposals heading to the Roanoke County Board of Supervisors.

MARTINSVILLE, Va. — A mix of campsites, cabins and yurts could begin popping up at Explore Park as early as this summer under a pair of proposals heading to the Roanoke County Board of Supervisors.

The county, which is working to bring new life to the park, has negotiated agreements with locally based Blue Mountain Adventures and Don’s Cab-Inns to create and manage the facilities.
