TX: Summer campground closures at Big Bend

(May 9, 2017) -- Big Bend National Park has announced some campground closures from May 22 through Sept. 1 in the Rio Grande Village area in order to conduct some deferred maintenance projects.

AMARILLO, Tex. — Big Bend National Park has announced some campground closures from May 22 through Sept. 1 in the Rio Grande Village area in order to conduct some deferred maintenance projects.

The National Park Service advises that there may be partial or temporary closures at the Rio Grande RV full-hook up sites as well as shower and laundry facilities at the Village Camp Store during this time depending upon water pressure availability. The park will be replacing water tank and waste water lagoon liners which may impact water availability.
