TX: Forest Service proposes camping fee increases at recreation areas

(Dec. 7, 2017) -- The U.S. Forest Service is proposing camping fee increases at recreation sites in the Caddo-LBJ National Grasslands.

DECATUR, Tex. — The U.S. Forest Service is proposing camping fee increases at recreation sites in the Caddo-LBJ National Grasslands.

“The proposed changes will help to ensure fees are more comparable to similar public and private sites in the area, be consistent with inflationary costs and help defray rising maintenance and operation costs,” said Forest Supervisor Eddie Taylor. He also noted the last price increase for most sites in Texas occurred in 2003.
