Tornado touches down at N.C. campground

(Sept. 6, 2016) -- It happened at the Hatteras Sands Campground. Four people were transported to a local clinic in Avon, N.C. All injuries are said to be minor at this time, WVEC-TV reported.

DARE COUNTY, N.C. — The National Weather Service confirms a tornado touched down at a campground in Hatteras early Saturday morning, injuring four people, WVEC-TV reported.

It happened at the Hatteras Sands Campground. Four people were transported to a local clinic in Avon, N.C. All injuries are said to be minor at this time.
