TACO adds to parks hosting hurricane evacuees

TACO adds to parks hosting hurricane evacuees

CROWLEY, Texas, Sept. 4, 2017 — The Texas Association of Campground Owners (TACO) has identified 44 campgrounds and RV parks with space available for Hurricane Harvey evacuees, including parks in Houston and Galveston.

“Texas park owners have opened their hearts and their parks. They are receiving countless evacuees and helping them while the storm passes and the cleanup begins. It will be a long process but together we will get through it,” said Brian Schaeffer, executive director of TACO.

Forty-four Texas campgrounds and RV parks already have told TACO they have space available for evacuees. However, people should call the parks in advance to reserve a site. They include:
