Spencer Canyon Campground reopens

(July 22, 2015) -- Spencer Canyon Campground on Mt. Lemmon in Arizona has reopened after possible mountain lion activity closed the area for over two weeks.

TUCSON, Ariz. — Spencer Canyon Campground on Mt. Lemmon has reopened after possible mountain lion activity closed the area for over two weeks, according to The Tucson News Now.

The campground has been closed more than once this summer due to reports of mountain lion sightings, The Tucson News Now reported.

Officials from the USDA Forest Service stated in a press release that visitors are advised to keep “situational awareness” when engaged in natural settings, The Tucson News Now explained.
