Serial campground burglars sentenced Monday

(July 27, 2011) -- On Monday, four serial campground burglars were sentenced to 4-10 year prison terms in Adams County Court for breaking and entering nearly 50 unoccupied campers in the Gettysburg, Pa. area, part of a three-state burglary spree, reports the Gettysburg Times.

GETTYSBURG, Pa. — On Monday, four serial campground burglars were sentenced to 4-10 year prison terms in Adams County Court for breaking and entering nearly 50 unoccupied campers in the Gettysburg, Pa. area, part of a three-state burglary spree, reports the Gettysburg Times. 

The four also robbed more than 100 victims in Lancaster County and were sentenced up to 20 years in state prison, to run concurrent to those sentences they are already serving, reports the Gettysburg Times. 

Police report that the group stole thousands of dollars worth of items from campers, including flat-screen televisions, DVD players and alcohol.
