  1. There are thousands of sites and snowbirds flock to the Myrtle Beach area in addition to the summer vacationers. Most of the beach CGs are old ~~ days when beach property was cheap~~ and sites were built for small rigs. I stayed at several in the 1970s and 1980s and recently visited our favorite at the time. Visited, not stayed as we live near now. Willow Tree in Longs SC was mentioned in the article and if I were to stay somewhere now that is it. Only 20 minutes from the beach, nice lake, etc. Yogi in Tabor City is nice too. We have wintered in Sun Community resorts for several winters and all have had more amenities than all but 1 CG in Myrtle. This new CG is welcome. It will certainly fill with snowbirds (strange as we leave here for warmer weather). Anyone that does not have to camp ON the beach will find this new CG quieter, nicer, and a better value.
