Rabid bobcat attacks dogs at Arizona campground

(April 28, 2011) -- Arizona Game and Fish officials confirmed that a bobcat that attacked two dogs last Thursday at Seven Springs Campground near Bartlett Lake tested positive for rabies, reports KPHO Phoenix.

MESA, Ariz. — Arizona Game and Fish officials confirmed that a bobcat that attacked two dogs last Thursday at Seven Springs Campground near Bartlett Lake in Arizona tested positive for rabies, reports KPHO Phoenix.

The campers reported the bobcat wandered into their campsite and got into a fight with their two dogs. One of the campers separated the animals and then shot and killed the bobcat.

Officials warned anyone camping in the area to be on the lookout for wild animals behaving oddly.
