Police investigating possible arson at Ohio’s Country Lakes

(Oct. 22, 2013) -- Police in Geauga County are investigating an apparent arson that took place Saturday morning at the Country Lakes Family Campground in Montville, reports FOX 8. A cabin, which serves as the campground owners' summer home, was destroyed.

MONTVILLE, Ohio — Police in Geauga County are investigating an apparent arson that took place Saturday morning at the Country Lakes Family Campground in Montville, reports FOX 8. A cabin, which serves as the campground owners’ summer home, was destroyed.

FOX 8 reports that the same person or persons responsible for the fire may also be responsible for vandalizing dozens of campers, according to police. Authorities found that 25 campers had been broken into and vandalized.

The campground has been closed for the season since Oct. 6. Anyone with information is asked to call the Geauga County Sheriff’s office.
