PA: Park generated nearly $1 million in revenue since opening

(Aug. 7, 2017) -- The Coalition for Recreational Trails recognized the Anthracite Outdoor Adventure Area for its use of federal Recreational Trails Program funds.

COAL TOWNSHIP, Pa. –The Coalition for Recreational Trails recognized the Anthracite Outdoor Adventure Area for its use of federal Recreational Trails Program (FTP) funds. Meanwhile, the park has generated nearly $1 million in revenue since it opened in 2014.

The Northumberland County Commissioners announced this week that the county-owned outdoor recreational park received the award in the category of design and construction during a ceremony in June at the House of Representatives offices in Washington, D.C.
