OR: Fire closes campgrounds near Rebel Creek Trail

(Aug. 7, 2017) -- Two campgrounds and a forest service road are closed due to a wildfire burning near Rebel Creek Trail, just south of Blue River.

EUGENE, Ore. — Two campgrounds and a forest service road are closed due to a wildfire burning near Rebel Creek Trail, just south of Blue River.

Officials say the Rebel Fire is burning 75 acres.

About a hundred firefighters and super scoopers are using water out of the Cougar Reservoir to contain the fire.
