Opening for Little Black Creek Campground in April

(March 17, 2014) -- Little Black Creek Campground in Mississippi is under new management. The cabins have been redone, the old lodge is now the store, and plans are in place for more cabins and RV spaces.

LUMBERTON, Miss. — Little Black Creek Campground and Park is now open under new management by Paul, Jane and Jordan Nettles who have a 50-year lease on the 640-acre property, according to The Republic.

All the cabins have been reworked with new equipment and furniture. The old lodge is now the store, operated by Betty and Albert Nettles, The Republic explains. It offers live bait and food items. The store is fully stocked for fishing, and boats, canoes and golf carts are available for rent.

The Nettles family is working on a splash pad for summer, which would be adjoining to the pool. They are also planning to build more cabins and RV parking places. The Republic reports the official opening is set for April 11-13.
