Ontario: Campground founder honored with street naming

(Sept. 13, 2017) -- Batman’s Cottages and Campgrounds in Sheguiandah has paid homage to the campground’s founder Ralph Batman, renaming the park’s Main Street ‘Ralph Batman Blvd.’

SHEGUIANDAH, Ontario — Batman’s Cottages and Campgrounds in Sheguiandah has paid homage to the campground’s founder Ralph Batman, renaming the park’s Main Street ‘Ralph Batman Blvd.’

“Ralph Batman started Batman’s,” explained Lisa Deschamps, who purchased Batman’s 10 years ago with her husband Andre. “He created this whole park and we thought it was fitting to honor him—without Ralph this wouldn’t have existed.”
