ON: Cancellation prompts calls to other campgrounds

(May 17, 2018) -- The cancellation of camping at Rondeau Provincial Park for this long weekend, due to localized flooding, prompted calls to other area campgrounds.

CHATHAM, Ontario — The cancellation of camping at Rondeau Provincial Park for this long weekend, due to localized flooding, prompted calls to other area campgrounds.

But, good luck finding a spot, because area campgrounds are full, and many are also dealing with wet conditions.

Chatham residents Duane and Tracey Cowen booked a seasonal site at C.M. Wilson Conservation Area for the first time. They are high and dry in their camper trailer, but there is a lot of water around their site.
