Ohio: Man who lived at campground sentenced

(Jan. 30, 2017) — An Ohio man who said he committed a series of burglaries in western Erie County "to survive" while living in the woods received up to 11 years in state prison Friday, GoErie.com reported.

ERIE, Ohio — An Ohio man who said he committed a series of burglaries in western Erie County “to survive” while living in the woods received up to 11 years in state prison Friday, GoErie.com reported.

Brett A. Bartlett, 34, of Jefferson, Ohio, pleaded guilty in December to charges including burglary, criminal trespassing, theft and access device fraud in crimes committed between April 21 and May 14 in Springfield Township and Albion.

State police said they were contacted by employees of Camp Fitch, in North Springfield, about a car parked on the campground’s property.
