Ohio campground owners gather for fall conference

(Oct. 24, 2013) -- On Wednesday afternoon, campground owners from across the state gathered at Longs Retreat Family Resort in Latham as part of the annual Ohio Campground Owners Association fall conference, reports the Chillicothe Gazette.

LATHAM, Ohio — On Wednesday afternoon, campground owners from across the state gathered at Longs Retreat Family Resort in Latham as part of the annual Ohio Campground Owners Association fall conference, reports the Chillicothe Gazette.

Garry Cole, co-owner of the Shelby/Mansfield KOA in Shelby, said the conference provides an opportunity to meet different people while being able to develop new ideas.

“It’s an opportunity to see different campgrounds in operation,” he said. “You make new friendships.”

Joe Landis, owner of the Dayton Tall Timber KOA, said the conference brings a “camaraderie” among individuals, says the Chillicothe Gazette.
