OH: Mansfield campground operated in red

(Dec. 22, 2017) -- The city-owned campground operated $52,000 in the red this year because rates have not been increased in more than a decade.

MANSFIELD, Ohio — The city-owned campground operated $52,000 in the red this year because rates have not been increased in more than a decade.

The rates are so far below market that campers may absorb an increase that is more than double what they paid in 2017.

That’s unfortunate, but it’s necessary.

  1. Should raise them and never subsidize anyone! Not fair to taxpayers and there should be a profit made!
