Officials investigate series of fires at Calif. RV park

(Oct. 16, 2013) -- Cloverdale fire officials are investigating three small fires occurring within about three weeks at the Russian River Thousand Trails RV Park, reports the Santa Rosa Press Democrat.

CLOVERDALE, Calif. — Cloverdale fire officials are investigating three small fires occurring within about three weeks at the Russian River Thousand Trails RV Park, reports the Santa Rosa Press Democrat.

“We’re looking into the patterns. It could be coincidental but we’re trying to put the puzzle together on what’s going on out there,” said Cloverdale fire Battalion Chief Rick Blackmon.

The Santa Rosa Press Democrat says the first fire, on Sept. 21, occurred in a bathroom. The second, on Oct. 9, started on the outside wall of a fifth wheel. And the third, another bathroom fire, occurred Monday night.
