MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Ocean Lakes Family Campground, a division of The Jackson Companies, has kicked off its recruiting efforts to hire about 300 teammates for the busy summer tourism season.

Recruiting is underway for part-time and full-time positions that come with a variety of benefits, including weekly paychecks, discounts and access to our amenities when they’re off work.
Finding the right candidates focused on providing top-notch customer service is a priority at Ocean Lakes, which was named the 2017 National Mega Park of the Year by the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds.
“We need people who like to have fun and help our guests have fun,” said Shannon Detzler, Human Resources Coordinator/Recruiter for The Jackson Companies. “People who not only respond to guests’ questions, but are always looking for ways to go above and beyond to help our guests make family memories that last a lifetime.”
Ocean Lakes is recruiting more lifeguards for its Sandy Harbor Water Park, which opened in 2016 and features slides, a lazy river, pools and a Splash Zone for kids. Lifeguards who are already certified may be eligible for a sign-on bonus. But candidates don’t have to be certified to apply; Ocean Lakes will provide the Red Cross training for certification once candidates have been hired.
“Students, firefighters, teachers and others have all found that working as a lifeguard during the summer at Ocean Lakes is a perfect fit,” Detzler said. “They are able to work a flexible schedule and earn income while enjoying one of the best water park environments at the beach.”
Ocean Lakes, which is open year round, hosts between 25,000 and 35,000 guests a day during the summer.
