Not everyone’s happy about proposed N.Y. RV park

(Aug. 2, 2013) -- An RV park planned for Sandstoner Park in Potsdam is drawing fire from people who live nearby, reports WWNY TV 7.

POTSDAM, N.Y. — An RV park planned for Sandstoner Park in Potsdam is drawing fire from people who live nearby, reports WWNY TV 7.

Village government is proposing a 12-space park with water and electricity hookups, places for fires and picnic tables. The RV park would be built on what is now a parking lot, says WWNY TV 7.

But WWNY TV 7 says opposition is coming from residents who live across the street from the proposed site.

“I don’t think they’re taking into consideration the people who live on the street, the privacy infringements, the drop in our property values, to no longer to be able to have my windows open at night if there’s open fires across the street,” said Neika Mayo.
