SARPY COUNTY, Neb. — A family-themed campground for recreational vehicles that once appeared doomed to failure has won the Sarpy County Board’s stamp of approval, reports the Omaha World-Herald.
Last week, the board voted 4-0 to allow construction of the Leisure Village RV park south of Bellevue, near the Platte River.
Omaha World-Herald describes the project will be part of a 220-acre development that aims to appeal to outdoor enthusiasts and families seeking weekend getaways. It calls for 192 RV pads and will feature ball fields for tenants and guests. An area is designated for riding all-terrain vehicles.
