PLATTSMOUTH, Neb. — Just because there are 5 inches of snow on the ground doesn’t mean significant work hasn’t been completed on a 28.5-acre recreational vehicle campground and marina project on the east end of Main Street.

The city of Plattsmouth purchased the property, previously planned as Castaway Pointe development, for $1.5 million in 2014.

Now, Roger Schmidt and Mark Morehead, operating as One Schmore LLC, are developing the site.
