N.Y.: Volunteers sought for campground work

(May 3, 2017) -- Volunteers are needed to rake leaves, move picnic tables, clean out fireplaces, and plant shrubs at Cranberry Lake Campground for the state Department of Environmental Conservation’s “I Love My Park Day” on May 6.

CRANBERRY LAKE, N.Y. — Volunteers are needed to rake leaves, move picnic tables, clean out fireplaces, and plant shrubs at Cranberry Lake Campground for the state Department of Environmental Conservation’s “I Love My Park Day” on May 6.

“This is the second year Region 6 has participated in I Love My Park Day,” said DEC Region 6 Director Judy Drabicki, “It’s a great way for a family, individual or group of people to give back to the environment by helping with small cleanup projects while getting some exercise and fresh air and working together to achieve a common goal,” she said.
