N.Y.: New boat launch at campground officially opens

(Aug. 8, 2017) -- The state Department of Environmental Conservation celebrated a new boat launch at a popular Adirondack campground last week.

SARANAC LAKE, N.Y. — The state Department of Environmental Conservation celebrated a new boat launch at a popular Adirondack campground last week.

DEC Region 5 Director Robert Stegemann, along with other DEC officials, travelled to Meacham Lake Campground south of Malone on Thursday to celebrate the long-awaited upgrade to the boat launching facilities.

The new launch is located within the campground, requiring users to pay a day-use fee to use the launch.
