(April 12, 2018) -- Ground has been broken for a $19 million campground that will include equestrian camping and day-use areas at the site of the former Frontier Town amusement park.

ALBANY, N.Y. — Ground has been broken for a $19 million campground that will include equestrian camping and day-use areas at the site of the former Frontier Town amusement park.

The new facilities will connect to an existing trail network to part of the Schroon Lake — North Hudson snowmobile trail network, according to Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s office.

In addition, Schroon Lake-based Paradox Brewery will spend $5.2 million on a new brewery and taproom. The investment includes the building and brewing equipment, as well as a waste treatment system.
