N.Y.: DEC launches campground ambassador program

(Feb. 13, 2018) -- State camprgrounds in the Adirondacks and Catskills are looking for volunteers to serves as campground ambassadors, helping welcome visitors.

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — State camprgrounds in the Adirondacks and Catskills are looking for volunteers to serves as campground ambassadors, helping welcome visitors.

The ambassadors will be expected to serve at least two weeks, and up to four weeks, at one of eight campgrounds participating in the program. It will being July 1 and run througgh Labor Day. The volunteers will be provided with a campsite.
