N.C.: Severe storms cause damage at campground

(June 12, 2018) -- Heavy rains and wind caused havoc in many parts of our area. In the Chocowinity area, near the Beaufort-Craven county line, a storm destroyed a camper where Shannon Caldwell was living with family, a dog and two cats.

NEW BERN, Craven County — It was a stormy Monday across Eastern North Carolina.

Heavy rains and wind caused havoc in many parts of our area. In the Chocowinity area, near the Beaufort-Craven county line, a storm destroyed a camper where Shannon Caldwell was living with family, a dog and two cats.
