N.C.: Mortimer campground reopened after flood damage

(June 8, 2018) -- The Mortimer Campground in the Wilson Creek area of the Pisgah National Forest's Grandfather Ranger District will reopen at noon June 8.

BOONE, N.C. — The Mortimer Campground in the Wilson Creek area of the Pisgah National Forest’s Grandfather Ranger District will reopen at noon June 8.

The campground has been closed for two weeks to repair road damage following historic flooding in the area.
