MT: Ackley Lake to remain state park for 5 years

(Feb. 17, 2017) -- On Thursday afternoon, the Montana State Parks Board unanimously voted to approve a five-year lease agreement for Ackley Lake State Park between MSP and the Department of Natural Resources and Conservation.

GREAT FALLS, Mont. — On Thursday afternoon, the Montana State Parks Board unanimously voted to approve a five-year lease agreement for Ackley Lake State Park between MSP and the Department of Natural Resources and Conservation.

The new lease will expire Dec. 21, 2021.

“We’re not necessarily kicking the can down the road,” said John Taillie, region 4 park manager. “Now we can continue to meet and look at our options, improve access and see where we’re at in five years.”
