(Dec. 5, 2018) -- Missouri State Parks will hold a public meeting from 5:30-6:30 p.m., Monday, Dec. 10, at Van Meter State Park to discuss a potential name change of Missouri’s American Indian Cultural Center.

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — Missouri State Parks will hold a public meeting from 5:30-6:30 p.m., Monday, Dec. 10, at Van Meter State Park to discuss a potential name change of Missouri’s American Indian Cultural Center.

The proposed name change includes adding the first names of the property owners who donated the original tract of land to the state in 1932. Park staff will be on hand to provide information, and the public is invited to share comments and ask questions at the meeting.
